The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Polytechnic, Valsad, organized a meaningful community service event at Monghabhai Hall Circle, Valsad. During the event, the NSS volunteers distributed shoes, clothes, and caps to the underprivileged, embodying the spirit of compassion and service.
The event was held under the chairmanship of the Principal, Mrs. Rinku Shukla, along with Dr. Amit Dhneshwar, Convener of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration. Dr. Dhneshwar expressed that such initiatives by students pave the way for positive societal change and empowerment. He emphasized that experiencing real-life struggles firsthand fosters a profound sense of gratitude toward parents and deepens students’ understanding of life’s challenges..

Mr. Niral Patel, NSS Program Officer, highlighted that the NSS unit consistently organizes programs aimed at social welfare, benefiting people, animals, and the environment. He further stated that one of the institution’s core missions is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical life experience for students.
The event was graced by prominent guests, including Mr. Harshad Ahir, President of the Valsad District Journalists’ Council, Mr. M. B. Gavit, Head of the Electrical Department, and several other administrative officials. The collective efforts of the NSS team and college staff played a vital role in the event’s success.
