Celebrating Unity and Legacy: “Sardar Smriti Yatra” Organized by Sardar Patel University and District Administration, Anand


Vallabh Vidyanagar: Under the joint initiative of Sardar Patel University and the District Administration, Anand, a grand “Sardar Smriti Yatra” was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The program commenced at the Sardar Patel University with a floral tribute offered to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On this occasion, Shri Ramanbhai Solanki, Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, stated that Sardar Patel unified 562 princely states and laid the foundation for an integrated India. He added that the “Sardar Smriti Yatra” has been organized to convey his remarkable contribution to the new generation.

Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Finance Minister of State , also appealed to the citizens to raise the slogan of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel and to uphold the message of national unity.

Dr. Niranjanbhai Patel, Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, expressed gratitude to all citizens participating in the Yatra and elaborated on the purpose of the program.

The Yatra began from Sardar Patel University and passed through Shaheed Chowk and Bank of Baroda, culminating at the Bhaikaka Statue, where dignitaries offered floral tributes to Sardar Patel. A large number of NCC cadets, Anand district police, health workers, faculty members, students of Sardar Patel University, and local citizens enthusiastically participated in the Yatra, making it a memorable tribute to the visionary leader who united the nation
