Borsad: India’s national song “Vande Mataram”, composed in 1875, has completed 150 glorious years. To commemorate this historic milestone, a special celebration was organized at J.D. Patel High School, Borsad, in the esteemed presence of Shri Ramanbhai Solanki, Hon’ble Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Solanki highlighted that Vande Mataram, composed on 7th November 1875 during India’s freedom movement, ignited a deep sense of patriotism and united citizens in pride for their motherland. Marking this momentous occasion, the State Government organized statewide celebrations featuring the collective singing of Vande Mataram, symbolizing unity, national pride, and cultural heritage.

As part of the ceremony, all officials, teachers, and students took the Swadeshi Pledge — reaffirming their commitment to promote indigenous products and support the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
