Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma was felicitated by the Anand District BJP at a ceremony held at Akshar Farm yesterday, attended by thousands of party workers. In his address, he said it was a privilege to visit the land of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose 150th birth anniversary the nation is celebrating.

Vishwakarma highlighted that inspired by Sardar Patel, Tribhuvandas Patel and his colleagues planted the seed of the cooperative movement seven decades ago with just ten village societies—an initiative that has today grown into Amul, the world’s No. 1 cooperative. He cited this as a shining example of India’s cooperative strength.

Criticizing the Congress, he noted that the Sardar Sarovar Dam gate work had been stalled during Congress rule but was expedited after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, enabling Narmada waters to reach Kutch.
On this occasion, District BJP President Sanjay Patel and Cabinet Minister Raman Solanki expressed confidence that under the leadership of Jagdish Vishwakarma, the BJP will grow even stronger. Following this, the state BJP president was felicitated with a book by MP Mitesh Patel, MLAs Yogesh Patel, Vipul Patel, and Chirag Patel.
