As part of the state-wide Unity Marches organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a grand march was held from Vasad village to the SVIT campus in the Anklav Assembly constituency of Anand district, graced by the presence of Member of Parliament Shri Miteshbhai Patel.
In his address, the MP noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Unity Marches are being held nationwide to honor Sardar Patel’s vision of an integrated and unified India. The 5.5 km march in Anand district—Sardar Patel’s revered karmabhoomi—echoed a strong message of national unity, integrity, and collective civic responsibility.

The march began with floral tributes offered to Sardar Patel’s statue at Vasad. The event concluded with the administration of the “Swadeshi Pledge,” followed by a tree plantation drive at the “Sardar Smriti Van” situated near the SVIT campus.
The programme saw the active participation of District Panchayat President Shri Hasmukhbhai Patel, Anand Prant Officer Shri Mayur Parmar, SVIT Chairman Shri Bhaskarbhai, District Panchayat members, officials from the Health and Forest Departments, NSS and My Bharat volunteers, and a large number of enthusiastic local citizens.
