To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, nationwide Unity Marches are being organized across India. As part of this initiative, all 182 Assembly constituencies in Gujarat are hosting Unity Marches, including a grand district-level march in Anand.

The Anand Unity March began at the Amul Dairy campus, where dignitaries paid floral tributes and placed a traditional cotton garland on the statue of Sardar Patel. The event was graced by MP Shri Miteshbhai Patel, District Collector Shri Praveen Chaudhary, and several other key leaders.
Shri Miteshbhai Patel ( MP-Anand) emphasized that Sardar Patel revered as the “Architect of Unified India”—successfully integrated 562 princely states, including Hyderabad and Junagadh, into the Indian Union. He further noted that the national Unity March from Karamsad to Kevadia stands as a meaningful tribute by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Sardar Patel’s legacy.
MLA Shri Yogeshbhai Patel highlighted that, in alignment with the state-wide initiative, the district-level Unity March in Anand was organized from Amul Dairy to Sardar Townhall. He thanked the citizens for their enthusiastic participation.

The event witnessed the presence of district officials, police personnel, teachers, students, NSS Volunteers , NCC cadets and a large number of local residents.
