The Election Commission of India has extended the timeline of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll being conducted in Gujarat and six other States/Union Territories. To ensure the inclusion of all eligible voters and the exclusion of ineligible names, the last date for submitting voter enumeration forms to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) has been extended from 11 December to 14 December. The initiative aims to prepare a clean, accurate, and comprehensive electoral roll.
