Composite Regional Skill Development (CRC), Ahmedabad has planned to train 1,892 special teachers working under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gujarat. Hence, Composite Regional Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Disabled People, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gujarat have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Under this agreement, it is planned to conduct Continuous Rehabilitation Education (CRE) programs approved by the Indian Rehabilitation Council, New Delhi, for special teachers in the state of Gujarat. Under this, it is planned to train 1892 special teachers working under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gujarat.
A three-day CRE training program on the topic “Capacity Building for Special Educators Enhancing Skills in Disability Identification, Behaviour Management, and Inclusive Teaching Strategies” was successfully organized at Junagadh for special teachers working in the field of disability in the Junagadh and Gir Somnath districts.
On the first day, the lectures were delivered by Dr. Neha Rana, Mr. Sahil Shaikh (CRC, Ahmedabad), and Dr. Dilipbhai Sharma (Assistant Professor, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar). On the second day, Smt. Vidhi Shah Madam (Rehabilitation Officer, Alivarjung National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mumbai), Shri Bhupender Singh (Lecturer, C.R.C. Ahmedabad), and Shri Hiteshbhai Gamit (Clinical Psychologist, Navsari Civil Hospital) delivered lectures in different disability related topics. On the third and final day, Dr. Nayankumar Parmar (Assistant Professor, C.R.C., Ahmedabad) and Shri Rajendrakumar Parmar (Special Educator, C.R.C., Ahmedabad) enlightened topics on teaching strategies for special educators specific to disabled children.
The program was attended by more than 116 specialized teachers, along with Surat District IED Co-ordinator Shri Hareshbhai Galsar, Surat Municipal Corporation District IED Co-ordinator Smt. Diptiben, Bharuch District IED Coordinator Mrs. Chaitaliben and Valsad District IED Coordinator Mr. Amitbhai.
The entire training program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Director, CRC Ahmedabad and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gujarat.
