Cleanliness is Divinity: Anand District Launches Massive Cleanliness Campaign at Holy and Tourist Spots.

In a move to strengthen the cleanliness drive across pilgrimage sites and tourist destinations in Anand district, District Collector Mr. Pravin Chaudhary and District Development Officer Ms. Devahuti conducted a video conference with all Taluka Development Officers. They directed officials to ensure that not only the main religious and tourist locations but also their surrounding areas remain clean, upholding the spirit of the motto “Cleanliness is Divinity.”

The officers highlighted the need for sustained cleanliness in every village. They instructed that both solid and liquid waste should be systematically managed and disposed of at the rural level. Further, they appealed for active cooperation from village leaders, health workers, women’s self-help groups, youth organizations, and educational institutions to make the campaign more effective.

As part of this initiative, a district-wide public movement has been launched to conduct intensive cleanliness drives at all religious, pilgrimage, and tourist spots. The aim is to maintain these sacred locations in a clean, pure, and welcoming state for devotees and visitors.
