A large pavilion is being erected at Vidyanagar Shastri Maidan as preparations intensify for the Unity March, organized to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. With Unity March events across all seven Assembly constituencies completed, the administration has now entered the final stage of planning.
The 150-km march from Karamsad to Kevadia, scheduled from 26 November to 6 December, is likely to be flagged off by the Prime Minister, the President, or the Chief Minister. To support the inaugural ceremony, the administration has initiated the construction of a major pavilion at Vidyanagar Shastri Maidan.
Authorities have also ensured that all necessary facilities are arranged at the starting venue and along the various Assembly constituencies through which the march will pass.
