Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, has launched a humane and commendable initiative to support women students appearing for examinations. For mothers attending exams with their young children, the university has introduced a special cradle/creche facility by placing cradles outside the examination hall.
The initiative ensures a calm and focused environment for women students by relieving them of childcare worries. A safe, supervised space with cradles and essential childcare facilities has been created near the examination hall, acknowledging the dual roles women balance as mothers and students.”
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Niranjan Patel, stated that “Student welfare is our priority. This support system ensures that women students can take their exams without stress arising from maternal duties. Human sensitivity is as important as quality education.”
The initiative has brought relief and appreciation among women students and has been widely welcomed by the community.
