NSS Volunteers of GEC Patan Raise ₹ 1,31,131 for ‘Sainik Welfare Fund’


The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Engineering College, Patan, has achieved a remarkable milestone by collecting ₹1,31,131 for the ‘Sainik Welfare Fund’.

The enthusiastic volunteers from the Batch of 2023-25 actively engaged with local communities, visiting villages and urban areas to raise awareness and inspire contributions toward the welfare of soldiers.

Since its inception in the academic year 2015-16, the NSS unit of Government Engineering College, Patan, has consistently supported the families of martyred soldiers through fund-raising initiatives. The collected amount of ₹1,31,131 was officially submitted to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), symbolizing the patriotic spirit and dedication of the students and the community.

This significant achievement was made possible through the guidance and support of the Respected Principal and the NSS Program Officer, whose leadership has been instrumental in inspiring the volunteers to accomplish this noble mission.
