Six Shops Sealed in Major Tax Crackdown; ₹1.50 Lakh Recovered by Karamsad–Anand Municipal Corporation

Under the guidance of the Commissioner of the Karamsad–Anand Municipal Corporation, notices were earlier issued to property owners within the municipal limits for the payment of outstanding property taxes. Despite these notices, some property owners have failed to deposit their taxes regularly.

Taking note of this situation, the Recovery Team of the Municipal Corporation’s Tax Department initiated strict action. At the Silver Point Complex near Raj Shivalay Cinema, six shops were sealed for non-payment of outstanding tax amounting to ₹56,415/-. Additionally, ₹1,50,000/- in pending taxes was recovered on the spot from four other property owners.

Deputy Commissioner Shri S. K. Garwal has appealed to all property owners within the municipal area to pay their taxes on time. He further stated that similar actions, including sealing of shops/units, will continue against those who fail to clear their dues.
